About HsinYa Lin

Hsin-Ya Lin is a Taiwanese photographer based in Shanghai, China.
He works across two parallel practices: a long-standing commercial
portrait and editorial practice serving the Asian market, and a
fine art practice exploring the body as landscape, the material
residue of labor, and a still-life sensibility through which
objects accumulate meaning.

Lin's fine art work has received recognition including First Prize
in AAP Magazine #19 "Shapes" (2021), and Honorable Mentions across
the International Photography Awards (IPA), Prix de la Photographie
Paris (PX3), Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA), TIFA, and the
Monochrome Photography Awards (2019–2025). His work was exhibited
at ImageNation Paris and New York (2023–2024).

He lives and works in Shanghai.
