Hugo Ribeiro is a young Portuguese photographer who was born in Oliveira de Azeméis in 1996. He currently resides in Santa Maria da Feira, where he studied his entire life.
It was during his studies that his connection to the visual arts gained strength and began to develop on a larger scale. However, it was as a child that he had his first contact with photography, having carried out experiments in a film development laboratory.
He decided to take photography more seriously when he began studying at the Portuguese Institute of Photography in Oporto and it was here that he developed his portfolio without ever losing his unique style. He feels the most comfortable with documentary photography, fashion and author photography, three distinct areas of photography which allow him to create with the freedom he desires.
