İlker Karaman was born in Giresun, Turkey in 1990. He received his BS from Bilkent University, Ankara. İlker works as a microwave electronics design engineer in his current professional life. Photography is a hobby that he can never give up. Taking and watching photographs is a great passion for him. He is mainly focused on street and graphics photography. He is moderator of human in geometry photography movement that appeals to a lot of audiences in Turkish photography.
Ilker believes that the light is an important element of magic and instrument of creativity in street photography. He uses high-contrast street photography techniques to sharpen the geometric distributions of light and shadows to make photograph richer in a graphical manner.
His current photo series "In pursuit of myself" is generally about self-portrait street photography. In this photo series, Ilker aims to reflect his own point of view to self-portrait photography and he tries to find himself in his photographs.
