The emergence of digital technology made it possible for me to return to landscape photography and immerse myself in its craft. In addition to making images of the Monterey Bay area, Big Sur, the Eastern Sierra, and the wildlife refuges of the Central Valley, I synthesize my photography with my storytelling, writing, and book design skills by publishing artistic photobooks.
My photographs have been published on the cover of The Sun, and exhibited many places, including the Sanctuary Exploration Center in Santa Cruz and Yosemite Renaissance (32) at the Yosemite Museum Gallery. In 2019, my handmade artist's book Crane Songs: A Story of Dis-Placement won second place in the handmade self-published (nonprofit) book category of the Lucie Awards sponsored by the International Photography Awards. I also placed in the top 250 photos of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) in 2018.
