I was a commercial photographer in Jakarta, Indonesia for 24 years. I just retired from my business and now I'm a full time contemporary photography-based artist. In my creative process I don't use camera to capture images, instead, I initiate exposure and chemical reaction on light sensitive material (photo papers) by applying masking on certain area. This process is very much similar to Javanese Batik printmaking that has been existed in Indonesia culture for many generations.
