About James Rock
James is a photographer and writer using images and words to create visual narratives... He observes people and places and their interactions, seeking where anthropology meets architecture and urban design. He has a particular interest in places with a literary background and history, and he likes to link the visual image with the writers narrative. After recently returning to work in monochrome with film equipment he focuses on making every image count, something that brings renewed discipline to the photographers art, and has developed a documentary reportage style that uses his images to carefully convey his storyline. James combines the beauty of film with digital processing, making archive quality exhibition giclee prints using the best Hahnemule Photo Rag paper printed with the latest Epson professional printers.
