About Jędrzej Nowicki

Jędrzej Nowicki - (born 1995) currently based between Kyiv, Ukraine, and Warsaw, Poland.

Nowicki is a Polish documentary photographer who focuses on Eastern Europe and, until now, specifically, Belarus and Ukraine. His work delves into the underlying mechanisms of systemic violence in the region. He is fascinated by humanity's pursuit of freedom, whether it be on an individual level or within whole societies. He has contributed to major international magazines such as The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Newsweek, Le Monde, Libération among others. Nowicki was awarded Luis Valtuena Award and World Report Award. He's also Ian Parry Scholarship alumni.
