About Jeroen de Bakker

Born in 1980, Limburg, The Netherlands

I am a documentary photographer based in Amsterdam. I've graduated with honours from the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in 2012. After the Photo Academy I traveled to Myanmar for 1,5 years to work on my latest project: Myanmar: Beyond the Surface.

The stories that I make are personal for me. Just as much as they tell me something about the lives of the people I photograph they give me context on my own place in the world.
