Jeyanthan is a documentary photographer as well as an art-house filmmaker. His passion for the world of cinema and photography led him to take portraits of normal people.
A self-taught photographer, he grew his passion for photography through cinema and art-house films.
He is interested in street photography and people's street behaviour. He began taking portraits of ordinary people in the streets. He started to experiment with his skills in between documentary and fictionalised photography and the lives of contemporary people. His camera and lens gave him permission to look into people's lives and photograph them. His photography practice focuses on memory, trauma, individualism, and realism in day-to-day social events.
