Jim is an award-winning photographer and has been focusing his lens on the minutiae details of the world around him for over thirty years. He currently lives in Toronto. Although he had become quite interested in photography during his high school years, Jim decided to study architecture and received his professional degree in that field in 1985. He maintained a keen interest in photography throughout his university years and taught himself to print in the darkroom while working for the university yearbook. His photographs have been included in shows as part of Toronto Nuit Blanche and the Contact Toronto Photography Festival. Distinctions include the Leonard Schugar Award for Excellence in Black and White Photography and Honorable Mention in the Gordon Parks Photography Competition.
