About John Hirsch

John Hirsch is a photographer and educator living and working in the greater Boston area. A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in 1998 with a degree in psychology and the Maine Photographic Workshops professional certificate program in 2002. He teaches photography at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA and is head of the Art Department. John's work is rooted in a documentary style, illuminating quiet moments in emergent or changing societies as well as allowing us to probe and reflect on the ideas of community, recreation, technology and land use in the American psyche.
