John Pallis currently works as an art director / creative director / photographer at Rascal, an acclaimed and multi awarded ad agency in Athens, Greece. At the same time, on a purely artistic level he uses photography (digital and analog) to express his subjective vision. He holds an MA (with distinction) in Research & Methodology in Photography and a BA in graphic design. He started photographing during his adolescence, documenting his graffiti art. The first camera “fell into his hands” was an Olympus SLR, that one night was found by his father at the back seat of the taxi he was driving. An act that, when realised in his adulthood, significantly softened the harsh Father figure. He fantasises about publishing his first photobook some day soon and having the privilege to take photographs in an Aki Kaurismäki film.
