Jonathan Bachman is a freelance photographer who specializes in breaking news and sports photography.
Jonathan was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Loyola University in New Orleans after graduating from the White Mountain School in 2003. While at Loyola Jonathan studied photojournalism and began his career working as a photographer for a New Orleans weekly publication.
In 2012 Jonathan began working as a freelancer for Reuters covering several high profile events including the Men’s Final Four and Hurricane Isaac. During the summer of 2016 he covered the reaction to Alton Sterling’s shooting death in Baton Rouge. This would be the first protest he photographed.
Jonathan currently lives in New Orleans and provides images for Reuters, Getty Images and the Associated Press.
