Juan Soler Cózar studied Film and Photography and, in 1973, began his professional career. He worked as an Advertising Director at the TeleCine Moro studios in Lisbon. He traveled as a free lancer photographer in Central and South America. He was the director of several documentary films and series of weekly programs for RTP (Rádio Televisão Portuguesa) Creates the Magic Film production company in Lisbon, producing and directing the series of weekly chapters "Navegar" and "Madeira, from Legend to Reality" to Rádio Televisão Portuguesa, among others. For 10 years he has also worked as director of photography in feature films for producers in Madrid, Paris, Münich and Zürich. In Bolivia, for a year and a half, he makes 50-minute weekly documentaries on various topics related to the environment and social issues for ATB Network. He also produced a series of short documentaries on Natural Resources. He worked for ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen), German television, covering the most important political events in Central America, South America and the Caribbean, as well as documentaries on various topics. Based in Natal (RN-Brazil), he directed commercials and documentaries for advertising agencies, State Government, City Halls, companies and political campaigns. In recent years, he has returned to photography and published two books on the indigenous peoples of Paraíba, PARAÍBA POTIGUARA (2012) and PARAÍBA TABAJARA (2015). Since October of 2015, he lives in Rio de Janeiro.
