About Karen Rangeley

I am a documentary photographer with a passion for street photography, which inspires my personal and commercial practice. Though my work is influenced by a documentary ethos, I'm also passionate about representing people and places in a way that fairly portrays their personal and social environment. Collaboration is a common theme in my practice, whether working creatively with other artists, or with my subjects in making, curating and presenting images. Recent projects include Excavating the Reno, a long term collaboration with playwright Linda Brogan, currently in exhibition at the Whitworth Gallery http://www.whitworth.manchester.ac.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/currentexhibitions/therenoatthewhitworth/ and Seven day Suit, a retrospective of the iconic tracksuit, which featured at Brighton Photo Biennial in 2015.
I graduated with a first class degree in Photography from Leeds College of Art in 2015.
