When I moved at age 13 to Asia from the US, I was floored by how different life looked living in metropolitan cities. I got my first camera in 2014 while I was living in Vietnam. Once I had my camera, that was it; I knew that I wanted to capture all the colorful life I was seeing. A few years and two photography classes later, picking up my camera is one of the most exciting and nervewracking feelings. It's exciting because this is 1000% my passion and nervewracking because being a photographer also means interacting with people in front of the camera. Each time I go to practice, my confidence builds more and more. I am excited for this opportunity to submit some of my favourite photos. Thank you! - Kate
