Katherine Spencer Carey is an American artist who has been photographing for over twenty years. Inspired by photography from a young age, Katherine fell in love the medium for its ability to create visual poetry. Katherine works with both analog and digital photography and still loves to work in the darkroom. Her photographic work is primarily portraiture, landscape and documentary photography. Katherine has exhibited and lectured about her work in the United States and France, and has self-published numerous books of her photography and poetry. Katherine has also worked as an arts administrator in the fields of public relations and exhibition management. She holds a BFA in Photography and Imaging from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.
