Kathleen Clark is a photographer and photo editor working in Los Angeles. She makes fine art photography and writes photographic art commentaries and reviews at http://kathleenclarkexposed.wordpress.
Her varied background includes organizing exhibitions at Clark | Oshin Gallery and Leica Gallery in Los Angeles. She was also the longtime Photo Director of Los Angeles Magazine and LA Weekly where she received multiple awards for editorial photography. She has reviewed portfolios at Foto Fest, Houston, Review Santa Fe, Review LA, Palm Springs Photo Festival, Art Center College of Design, The Lucie Foundation's Fresh Look, and Julia Dean Photo Workshops.
Prior to her editorial career, Kathleen Clark’s collaborative mixed media installation and performance work won fellowships from the Seattle, Oregon, and Metropolitan (Portland) Arts Commissions as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. That work and her photographic work were exhibited in a range of venues including COCA Seattle, Portland Center for the Visual Arts, Portland Art Museum, Marylhurst College, The Evergreen State College, The Eye Gallery, Southern Exposure, LACE and University of California, Irvine. She was an adjunct faculty member in photography at Art Center College of Design and at USC and also served as Artistic Director at The Woman’s Building and Publicist at The Northwest Film Center at The Portland Art Museum. She has an MFA degree in studio art and photography.
