Kathryn Jago grew up in the coastal city of Plymouth, UK. Having always had an interest in photography, a deeper passion developed in her forties during a period of ill health. More recently she graduated with a BA Honours in Photography and is now researching for her Master of Arts. Kathryn chooses to explore themes around memory, identity, possessions and the domestic space. Her latest work considers order and disorder within the home. Kathryn approaches this subject with a degree of levity and humour in an effort to invite the viewer in and offer empathy and compassion.
