About Kayla Story

As an artist, Kayla's work exists in expanding the limitations of human perception through the melding of material, objects, and images. Holding an MFA from University of Wisconsin- Madison in Studio Art and BFA from Columbia College Chicago in Photography, she aims to bridge distances between people. Drawing from various sources of everyday storytelling enables her to touch at the universal uncertainties of being human through diverse lenses. Her work often subtly explores personal truths - built like walls of a fortress around an individual - and visually unravels the myths they create about our own lives and the lives of others.
