In his photographs, Kees focuses predominately on human relations. Whether it’s between people, between humans and animals, between man and nature, or between photographer and subject. Recurring themes in his work are transience, a sense of romance and the overwhelming beauty of the mundane. For Kees every image is a new chance to convey emotions: photos are to be felt, by both viewer and photographer.
