Kelly Fogel is a Los Angeles based photographer focusing on environmental portraits, wildlife and documentary photography. She recently left a career in the music industry to pursue photography full time. Kelly has been working on a project since 2010 visiting and photographing the most remote villages and tribes in Africa, Asia & India and has recently been focusing on the tribes of the Omo Valley in Southern Ethiopia. With the introduction of mobile phones and internet in even the most remote corners of the world, she wishes to document the changes of village life as the new technology comes in and connects the planet. Which traditions will continue and which will disappear?
While in Los Angeles, Kelly teaches kids and teens photography and has been a mentor for VENICE ARTS and PABLOVE SHUTTERBUGS for over a decade. Kelly has travelled to 46 US states and over 40 countries, including 12 in Africa, meeting and photographing thousands of people along the way.
