Kelsey Floyd is a fine artist currently living and working in midcoast Maine. Originally from a suburb of Chicago, Kelsey received a BA in Studio Art with a focus in Sculpture and a BA in Psychology from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. These degrees have informed her art making which combines her interests in photography, sculpture, and psychology. Her work has been exhibited nationally at venues such as the Minneapolis Photo Center, Louisiana Tech University, the Putnam County Museum and Low Road Gallery in Indiana. Having taught with the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine and been associated with Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine since the summer of 2011, Floyd has fallen in love with being an educator in the field of photography. She is currently the assistant to photographer Joyce Tenneson, whose experience as an impactful force as a female photographer within the field has been both humbling and inspiring.
