I grew up with my mom who suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder which is what inspired this series "borderline". Many people suffer from mental illness and aren't fully aware of it or seek proper help and support. My mom was in her early 30s when she was finally diagnosed but until then she was self and professionally medicated which led her on a rollercoaster ride of its own.
