Kishin Himori is an artist who works in photography and began presenting his works in 2014. He studied art photography at PACell in Nagoya. In 2017, he relocated to the island of Tanegashima, where he was deeply inspired by the forms and presence of nature.
Since 2021, he has been based in Kyoto, creating works that explore themes such as the presence and absence of existence, spiral cycles, and the form of life. His practice employs a distinctive approach that utilizes the inherent properties of photography, combining digital and classical techniques in experimental ways. He consciously explores the fundamental question of “what it means to see,” and seeks to perceive the world beyond its visible surface by giving form to what has no visual presence.
