About Laath Martin

Laath Martin is a documentary photographer, designer, and educator currently based in Greensboro, NC. His work focuses on telling the intimate stories within the broader scope. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Design at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he concentrated on filmmaking and graphic design. After shifting the core of his work to photography, he now combines his knowledge of these varying methods and of rising technologies as an instructor at UNCG.

He has worked on projects in Panama, Ghana, France, Germany, and Spain, as well as stories chronicling the Moral Monday rallies in North Carolina and the entertainment districts in the United States. His work has been exhibited and published nationally in galleries, public spaces, and digitally. His passion is intimacy, progress, and conversation. He is the middle of five children of a Southern mom and military dad. He has no true sense of a hometown, no favorite color, no lucky number. Instead, he tries to enjoy it all.
