I grew up on the Upper West Side, downtown Brooklyn and the Lower East Side of NYC. I have been involved in art related projects and using my hands for as long as I can remember, I've been taking pictures almost daily since I got my first camera at 16.
I enjoyed extra art classes in grammar school and middle school, went to The High School of Music and Art and studied at the Art Students League. I have a MFA from The Cooper Union there, I studied photography, painting, graphic design, printmaking, color theory and drawing.
I have always worked for myself; I worked in theater as a set designer, as a framer at MOMA, painted house interiors and helped people pick colors for many years.
I lived in Boston for 30 years, while living there I started my color consulting/interior decorating business www.colorlk.com, I was a farmer for fifteen years.
My interests are art, photography, yoga, gardening, food politics, cooking plants... I have been taking pictures though it all.
