Lavender Chang's focus lies in conceptual photography. Her artwork is a reflection of the sensitivity towards the subtle nuances surrounding her. She hopes to focus on these experiences, to create a canvas allowing further contemplation and letting the passage of time to leave behind traces of her mortality.
She has exhibited at Singapore Art Museum, International Orange Photo Festival (China), Sundaram Tagore Gallery (New York), Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards, ION Art Gallery, Society Generale at Alliance Francaise de Singapour, Mizuma Gallery (Singapore), Gajah Gallery (Yogyakarta), ADM Gallery, National Museum of Singapore and The Art House.
She was the winner of The Noise Singapore Prize and Young Talent Programme by Affordable Art Fair. Also the recipient of the Gold awards at The Crowbar Awards. In 2015, She won the 6th France+ Singapore Photographic Art Awards and In 2017, the exhibition in ADM Gallery is reviewed 10 best shows in Asia by CoBo Social.
