About Lorenzo Maccotta

Lorenzo Maccotta was born in Rome in 1982. After a bachelor degree in Philosophy and a course at Scuola Romana di Fotografia in 2005, he focuses his attention on contemporary issues and begin his activity in photography.
His personal projects has been exhibited at "Fotografia - Festival internazionale di Roma", "FotoDocks Festival" in Munich, “Re-imagine Europe” - De Questee art gallery in Belgium, and “Menotrentuno” Festival di Fotografia in Sardegna in Cagliari.
His stories and photographs has been published on L’Espresso, Vanity Fair, Io Donna, Internazionale, Style, Qui Touring, Marie Clair, Carta, and in 2011 he won the 3rd prize Premio Amilcare G. Ponchielli with “Desidera” project.
After living in Barcelona and London, he moved to Germany where he lives between Berlin and Leipzig.
