About Lucrecia Diaz

Movements, feelings, expression, and effort constitute the visual language Lucrecia Diaz intends to convey through her images.

Lucrecia Diaz obtained a Photography Diploma from the Catholic University in Santiago, Chile, and received a Master of Arts degree in Photography from Barry University, in Miami, Florida.

Her photography includes institutions such as: Miami Contemporary, Miami City BalletCompañia Antonio Gades (Spain), Ballet Folklorico de Antioquia (Colombia), among others. She has also worked with other cultural institutions such as the Miami Symphony Orchestra.

Lucrecia has exhibited her work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami (MOCA), the Key Biscayne Public Library, the Gato Gallery at Barry University, the Colombian Consulate in Miami, the Brazilian Consulate in Miami and in the Freedom Tower in Miami in the exhibition entitled Celebration of Female Vision – Images by South Florida Women Potographers.

Her work has been featured in the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) magazine, and Diaz´s photographs have also graced the covers of DANCEing magazine, Dance International, and Dance Spirits, among others.

Lucrecia is currently living in Sydney (Australia), after living in the USA, Spain and Germany during the last years.
