Maija Tammi (b. 1985) is a Finnish artist, whose photographs and sculptures converse on topics around disgust and fascination, science and aesthetics.
She is drawn to photography’s representational abilities and its double role as science and art. Tammi’s works have been exhibited in Finland, France, Germany, England, Croatia, Japan and USA. Tammi's book Leftover/Removals was published by Kehrer Verlag in 2014
Tammi is currently working on her studio art-based doctoral thesis at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, Finland.
