She was born under Northern skies, in the Netherlands. She has lived and worked in the Netherlands, Italy, Algeria, the Caribbean, Chile, Portugal and Romania.
During her biology studies with a major in philosophy at Wageningen (the Netherlands), Margrieta started with a variety of studies in bronze casting, painting, etching and ceramics. Her work embraces poetry, sculpture, but her main creative outlet is photography. She uses analogue camera's (from 35mm to whole plate) Her book "the Taste of Tears" was awarded gold in the Px3 book category, fine art awards). She makes albumen prints. Her work has been awarded many times (IPA, Px3), exhibited (in Greece, U.S.A, Italy, Denmark, it has been published in magazines like Silvershotz, B&W magazine , Seities magazine, the Photoreview. Currently she lives in Tuscia (the Etruscan land), Italy.
