Graduated at the Film Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Department of Photography (Master of Fine Arts). Thanks to the Fulbright scholarship studied in a certificate program at the International Center of Photography in New York City, where he also worked as a Teaching Assistant. Besides his photographic work mostly for the the industrial and architectural companies, he teaches at schools focused on advertising and photography.
In 2009 he was awarded by the Federation of European Photographers in Brussels and obtained the QEP title (Qualified European Photographer).
Marian also works on his own projects and assignments, many of which have been widely exhibited. He achieved a number of awards, among others: American Photography 19, Annual Award of the Committee for the American Professional Photography; Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Awards – The main prize for Czech Republic; Czech Press Photo, 1. prize in the Sport category; PDN Photo Annual Award; FEP European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award. In addition to solo exhibitions, he participated in dozens of group exhibitions at home and abroad. He is represented in the collections of galleries, institutions, organizations and private collections, such as: Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, Japan; National Museum of Photography, The Golden Fund, Jindřichův Hradec; Museum of Decorative Arts, Prague.
Since 2010, he is a board member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic, and from 2012 its vice president.
