I have worked as a fine artist in painting for decades. Then, in 2010, I set aside my paint and brushes and immersed myself in photography. Ever since, photography has been my addiction. It’s the thing I wake up doing. It encompasses almost every aspect of my life. That and writing, as I am also a published author of several creative nonfiction stories. In both my photography and writing, I reflect on a profound awareness of the fleeting nature of life. I refer to myself as a living artifact of past lives, as I often haunt the rural landscape in upstate New York where I live. Now, in the Autumn of life, I approach my photo-work and writing from a more heightened awareness. A vision rooted in the contemplation of the evanescent human and natural worlds, where they intersect and how they parallel each other as time marches on.
