I'm a freelance photographer based in New York City. I've been photographing professionally for about three years (I was a lawyer before that) but have been photographing as a hobby off and and on for decades. My love of photography started with street photography. I grew up with a father who was almost never without a camera and took street photos wherever we went. I didn't realize it then, but he was seeing things in a way I and my mother did not. I would often get exasperated as a teen, on vacation in Europe, having to stop walking and wait for him because he had to get the right angle; or maybe he was seeing some interaction unfold and was anticipating what would happen next - something that would be worthy of a frame from his film roll. It took years for that photo bug to manifest itself in me, but I caught it. And I am so thankful I did.
