Massimo Baldini studied sociology at the University of Florence and German language at the University of Munich. For more than 20 years he was editor at "Il Mulino", a major publishing house in Italy. His main exhibitions were "Italianité" (Maison de l'Italie, Paris, 2017) and "A Tour not so Grand" (Fondazione Carlo Gajani, Bologna, 2018). In 2019 he published "Gli italiani" (The Italians, after Robert Frank). He lives and works in Bologna.
