Born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Washington, DC to two Ethiopian immigrants, Measu’s childhood was spent behind a camera documenting the world with the camera her father gave her at 9 years old.
With a background in Economics, she brings a unique perspective to the world of photography. In her personal work, she is motivated by the desire to create images that showcase her own emotions and interpretations of the world around her.
