Melissa Pérez López (b. 1995, Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacán) is a Mexican photographer who began her artistic journey as a self-taught practitioner at the age of 13. Her formal education includes two years of study at the University of Guadalajara, eight months at LCI Monterrey, and three years at the Escuela Activa de Fotografía in Querétaro. Through her lens, she explores the intimate connection between the body and nature as a medium for emotional expression.
Her work has been featured in various group exhibitions both in Michoacán and internationally. In 2025, her photographs were showcased in the "ImagiNation Paris" exhibition during Photo Days in Paris. That same year, she was named a finalist in the prestigious FFIEL International Photography Competition in León, Guanajuato, where her work ranked among the top six portrait photographs and was selected for the festival's group exhibition. Currently, Melissa balances her professional practice with the development of personal projects, driven by a continuous quest to capture emotional states and merge human identity with the natural environmen.
