Unpacking the wonder of being alive, Melanie Schoeniger explores themes such as perception and interconnectedness and contemplates our place in the larger scheme of things. The German artist seeks to reveal the beauty and essence of nature as a means to create awe and uncover secrets behind all stardust. She perceives all her work as fundamentally being climate work contributing to a life-sustaining future.
Longlisted for Aesthetica Art Prize 2024, her work was awarded with Julia Margaret Cameron, Pollux and Chromatic first places, Tifa Silver, and more. It has been on view at Foto Nostrum Gallery, Barcelona in 2022 and is featured internationally in publications such as Fresh Eyes Talent Book, Lenscratch, All About Photo Magazine, A.
