Michael Trueblood studied painting and printmaking at the University of Tulsa and Ohio University before moving to New York in 1984. He started concentrating on photography and photo-based art in the 1990s, while teaching Photoshop and doing production work for other photographers and working as a driver. One of his images from 911 was published in the book - Here Is New York (Scalo, 2002), and was exhibited in various cities in the US and Europe. He was also Chosen for American Photo 30, and three of his images are part of the archive on the AI-AP website. He was also selected in the Top 100 of the 2016 Lens Culture Street Photography Awards, He is currently working on several projects including a series of books of New York street photography.
