He was born in the city of Lima, Peru. In 2005 he finished his studies in journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, where he also studied photography at the Faculty of Art. In 2010 he joined the staff of photojournalists of the newspaper La República, where he worked as a photojournalist until 2015 and as Graphic Editor until 2017. His photographs have been published in other media such as the newspaper El Comercio (Lima), Peru 21 ( Lima), Reuters, La Tercera (Chile), El País (Spain) and The Guardian (England). He has exhibited in the Place of Memory (Lima), Palacio Cibeles (Madrid), Instituto Cervantes de Beijing (China), Pancho Fierro Municipal Art Gallery (Lima), Brunning National Museum (Lambayeque), Sicán National Museum (Ferreñafe), among other galleries. In 2009 he worked as a graphic reporter in the newspaper Correo. In 2008, he was part of the founding team of the northern newspaper Peru 21. In 2007 he worked as a photojournalist and Graphic Editor of the northern edition of the newspaper La República. In 2006 he was editor of the magazine Willanakuy (Cusco), specialized in human rights. In 2004 he wrote articles of investigative journalism in the magazine Caretas.
He is currently directing the photography school Perú Fotodocumental.
2016: 1st. finalist in the XIX International Humanitarian Photography Award Luis Valtueña.
2015: 1st place in the contest of photojournalism POY Latam, in the category News. Four awards at the Humanity Photo Awards (China). Honor Award for Excellence in Journalism in Photography from the Inter American Press Association (IAPA).
2013: 3rd place in Latam POY in the category Fiestas, traditions & religion.
2012: 1st place in the Latin American Fototierra competition. That year was awarded a scholarship by the New Iberoamerican Journalism Foundation to study Photographic Workshop Edition Violence and Society (El Salvador).
