About Minna Karhunen

Minna Karhunen (b. 1997) is a photographer based in Jyvaskyla, Finland. She lives for rough aesthetics, performing arts and finnish cinnamon buns.
She has two exames in photography, further vocational qualification and basic vocational qualification, from Gradia Jyvaskyla. Currently she's studying specialist vocational qualification in Photography.

Her artwork is based on reality, personal remarks and memories. Her solo and group exhibitions has been seen from small galleries to museums. Karhunen has got a few grants, from which the working grant from The Arts Promotion Centre Finland is the recent one.
She's a board member of The Centre for Creative Photography in Jyvaskyla.
Along with she mentors young photographers about live music photography in live music venue Tanssisali Lutakko.
