Born and raised in Japan, graduated from Kwansei Gakuin University in Hyogo, Japan with a BA of English Literature. Lived in Tokyo and worked in the publication field as an editor and translator.
Moved to New York City and studied Interior Design at FIT – Fashion Institute of Technology; graduated with a BFA in Interior Design and Fine Arts. Practiced as an Interior Designer specializing in antiques and the decorative arts from 18th century to the modern age.
Authored multiple articles for Japanese Architectural and Design trade magazines; focusing on interior environments and architecture in the Tri-State area.
Began to study photography at ICP - International Center of Photography in New York City - in continuing education (2000).
Exhibitions includes work in solo and group shows since 2013. Currently being represented by the renowned design showroom Holly Hunt. Various works can be found in both private and public collections.
Presently resides in New York City and Litchfield Hills, CT photographing subjects found in both urban and rural settings.
