Miyoung Kim is a Korean artist based in London. She studied Photography at the London College of Communication and Hongik University before studying Photography at Royal College of Art. Kim works at the intersection of photography, photography-installation, performance and sculpture. In her recent works, she focuses on how to rethink time and memory in an allegorical and analytical manner in a broad range of cultural and literary references.
Her work recently been shown the National Museum of Art in Osan (2018), Tate Modern in London and Palazzo Flangini in Venice (2017), Brighton Photo Fringe in Brighton, the Dyson Gallery, Lychee One Gallery and Tate Modern in London, LOOP Festival in Barcelona, BAU International Academy in Rome (2016) and Tate Modern in London (2015), KIAF in Seoul (2013), and ASYAAF in Seoul (2010). Kim is the recipient of a residency fellowship La Ira de Dios in Buenos Aires (2016) and her work was awarded by the Cyart Document (2018), the LifeFramer's editor.
