Miyoung Kim is a Korean artist who lives and works in London. Kim’s practice moves between multi-media including photography, sculpture, video, performance, and installation. Through the filter of her engagement with the histories and possibilities of photography, her work reflects on unstable borders, loss, internal space and human encounter.
Kim holds an MA (2017) in Fine Art Photography from Royal Collage of Art, BA (2015) from London College of Communication and MFA (2012) from Hongik University.
Her work has recently been shown Brighton Photo Biennale in Brighton, Dyson Gallery, Lychee One Gallery and Tate Modern in London, LOOP Festival in Barcelona, Palazzo Flangini in Venice, University of Rome in Rome, Jorge Jurado Gallery in Bogotá(2016), Gulbenkian Gallery and Tate Modern in London (2015), KIAF in Seoul (2013), and ASYAAF in Seoul (2010).
Kim is the recipient of a residency fellowship La Ira de Dios in Buenos Aires (2016).
