Mosijah Roye is a 18-year-old portrait photographer from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York, currently living in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He recently graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. He now attends The University of Akron for photography. Mosijah’s photographs have been featured in The New York Times and he has had exhibitions at the Cleveland Print Room and at his high school. He photographed regularly for his high school's various sports teams and is currently focusing on projects based on the broad interests and issues of his generation, which are the reasons he became interested in photography in the first place. His current work is called “The Black Hair Project,” which highlights iconic black hairstyles he experienced growing up.
