Natalia Davtyan (b. 1993, Moscow, Russia) is an Armenian photographer and visual artist, mostly working in the realms of documentary and portrait photography. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior and Spatial Design from UAL, London and a Master in Photography and Design in ELISAVA in Barcelona. She has worked as a brand manager at Stride running store and in 2017 started publishing Stride Mag, a printed and online magazine about runners.
Since 2011 Natalia had been into mobile photography but had never seen herself as a ‘real’ photographer. She had her first photoshoots for Stride Mag and after its closure, she decided to continue her training with postgraduate studies.
Photography is the medium that helps Natalia to speak about identity, women and ecological crisis. She is currently developing a long-term project about her mother and grandmother and the impact of the early marriages on their personal lives.
