Natalia Zapata, born in Cali, Colombia, in 1993, is a photographer and journalist . Raised by biologist parents, Natalia was immersed in the natural world from an early age, living in diverse countries such as South Africa and Brazil. This upbringing sparked her passion for different cultures and languages.
Natalia discovered her love for photography in high school through an analog photography elective and hasn't stopped practicing it ever since. She later honed her skills at the Escuela de Fotografía del Valle in Cali in. Natalia also pursued university studies in France and Germany, seizing the opportunity to travel and photograph extensively across Europe. Now based in Berlin, Natalia continues to pursue long-form documentary projects and visual stories rooted in social and environmental realities.
