About Negin Moss

I am a multimedia artist, born in Tehran, Iran in 1979. I received my BFA in Sculpture from Tehran University in 2002, and my BFA in Performing Arts & New Media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010.
I am fascinated by the mechanisms, patterns, and interplay of systems ranging from biological and emotional to speculative and surreal.
I have explored these themes through the mediums of sculpture, stop-motion animation, interactive design, video and photography.
I have had solo exhibitions and performances in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Florence, Melbourne, and Tehran. I have been part of numerous international group exhibitions and have won numerous awards. Selected galleries in New York I have shown work at include A.I.R. Gallery, Frieze Art, Thomas Erben Gallery, The Bullet Space, The New York Book Art Center, Queens Museum of Art and Project for Empty Space.
