Neşe Arı is a self-taught photographer born in Istanbul. She works in documentary, travel, and street photography across Turkey and in different parts of the world. In her work, she focuses on human stories within everyday life, using a simple and direct visual language.
“Photography is a powerful form of communication. It is a tool through which we convey the experiences and emotions we live to those who were not present,” she says, describing her approach to photography.
Neşe Arı has received numerous awards in national and international photography competitions, and her work has been exhibited in various festivals and exhibitions. Her photographs have been published in The Times, The Daily Telegraph, and The Guardian.
As part of the projects “Women’s Cry,” “Changes,” and “Open Doors,” supported by Pope Francis, her work has been exhibited in various cities and countries, including the Vatican, Venice, Cannes, Rwanda, Davos, and New York.
