Nicolas Iordanou studied Fine Arts and Photography at Columbia College Chicago. A documentary and a conflict photographer (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel/Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Uganda, Twin Towers-9/11), he also collaborates pro bono with the United Nations (UNHCR). He mainly photographs in the Balkans and the Middle East. His photographic work can be found in the permanent collections in the Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago, the University of Illinois and the Leventis Museum in Cyprus. He is also the founder/director of the Paphos International Film Festival. Nicolas recently completed his project 'The Alien Trail' with Antoine D’Agata, Nikos Economopoulos and Bieke Depoorter which was funded by the European Capital of Culture Pafos 2017 and its main focus was the refugee crisis in Cyprus.
